…. which made today’s dedication to leisure seemed reckless, impetuous, irresponsible. Adventure long overdue, ZuZu and I headed to the river. The moment we got into our rented kayak, stress receded like the pressure drop before a hailstorm: swift, cooling, alarming. Hawks rode thermals, a monarch butterfly drifted southward, teeny turtles sunned on stumps and rocks at the edges of the water. The river and the trail surrounding it have long been a source of inspiration, and today’s colorway arrived immediately and sat on my toe. What yarn will tell this little damselfly’s story best? Perhaps a silk and merino blend? Or a self striping sock with wide bands of electric turquoise alternating with thin storm-black stripes? Stay tuned!
